Job Description: 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Director of Operations with managing all operational functions
  • Assure that the warehouse is operating in a manner that enhances customer service, quality benchmarks, efficiency, and safety
  • Ensure employees are following company food and safety protocol
  • Maintain organized and structured warehouse operations
  • Create and implement production schedule for multiple departments
  • Oversee daily inventory and product rotation
  • Oversee food safety program via daily walk through and communication with Director of Food Safety
  • Work with porters and drivers to process orders accurately and ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee and assist in staging and shipping when needed
  • Review orders for quality and accuracy
  • Manage any driver issues while out on delivery
  • Assist in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment
  • Communicate with sales team, customer service team and management staff to improve benchmarks and set goals
  • Resolve specific sales and purchasing requests as it relates to operations
  • Work with and support Quality Assurance Manager to ensure good production practices, order updates and communication with appropriate team member
  • Oversee and assist receiving team to ensure accurate receiving based on quality specs, accurate count, correct label, pack size and note exceptions
  • Communicate with vendor and drivers as needed
  • Confirm that receiving is informing purchasing and sales department of short, rejected, and poor-quality product
  • May be asked to load and unload trucks
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years previous management experience, produce experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team efficiently and effectively
  • Focus should be on urgency in an active/time sensitive environment and take quick problem-solving actions. This includes attention to detail while multitasking and researching multiple issues
  • Communication skills with a strong verbal and written background
  • Strong skills in MS Office, Outlook, and Excel. This includes strong computer skills and detailed accurate data entry
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) required
