We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Medley, Florida.
Job Summary:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates warehouse and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
General Accountabilities:
- Prepares and manages departmental budget.
- Supervises the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
- Interviews, selects, and trains warehouse and supervisory personnel.
- Plans, develops, or implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.
- Issues shipping instructions and provides routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Confers with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, or purchasing.
- Reviews invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
- Inspects physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
- Schedules or monitors air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
- Responds to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
- Develops and documents standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
- Develops or implements plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.
- Tracks and traces goods while they are en route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.
