Lead the charge in revolutionizing our sales strategy! 

We're seeking an innovative Vice President of Sales to join our team in Ayer, MA (with potential for future hybrid arrangement). The VP of Sales will drive growth and spearhead our journey to new heights in the fresh produce industry.

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading and managing revenue growth and market share within the apple category. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with key partners, identifying, and developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is an initiative-taking, results-driven professional with a strong background in produce sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities: 
Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies specifically tailored to company goals and revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and market demands.

Revenue Growth:

  • Expand the customer base and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capture additional market share in the apple category.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including wholesalers, retailers, foodservice operators, and growers.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements for new and existing business.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Analyze competitor activities and industry developments to inform business strategies.
  • Identify target markets and potential customers through research and data analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the cross-functional team to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Communicate sales strategies, goals, and performance updates to the leadership team.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Initiative-taking and results-driven with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven experience in produce business development and sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and experience highly desirable.
