The Role
We're looking for a dynamic, experienced Produce Broker to join our team — either remotely or from our San Francisco HQ. In this role, you’ll build and manage relationships on both the supply and demand side, sourcing surplus and conventional produce, managing deals, and driving transactional volume through our platform.
We are seeking candidates who bring an existing book of business — and in return, we provide full operational support, including trucking/logistics coordination, software tools, accounting, and marketplace infrastructure. You focus on closing deals and building relationships; we handle the backend.
You’ll also serve as a commodity manager for key produce categories, influencing strategy, pricing, and growth across buyer segments. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to shape the continued evolution of our platform.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow a book of business consisting of Retail, Distributor, Food Service, and CPG/Processor buyers
- Act as a commodity manager for select produce categories, building sourcing strategy and pricing structures
- Prospect and acquire new large or complex accounts, and nurture long-term relationships
- Work directly with farms, shippers, and suppliers to source surplus, imperfect, and conventional produce
- Ensure timely delivery, manage logistics, and maintain excellent service levels
- Leverage platform data and analytics to inform decisions and improve performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Continuously optimize supply chain processes and contribute to platform improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in produce brokerage, key account sales, or supply chain management
- 2+ years managing strategic or national CPG/Processor or Tier 1 buyer accounts
- Experience in the fresh produce space or related perishable industries highly preferred
- Proven ability to bring and grow a book of business and maintain long-term relationships
- Strong data literacy and ability to use analytics for decision-making and problem-solving
- Demonstrated success navigating complex systems and driving continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with changing priorities
- Startup or B2B/SaaS experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with sales methodologies and tools, as well as SaaS tools like Gmail and Slack
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and eager to support and uplift fellow team members
