Job Description: 

Gem-Pack Berries, LLC is a leading supplier of high-quality berries, specializing in sourcing, packaging, and distributing the finest berries worldwide.

The Sales Associate is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer and grower experience. This role involves developing sales strategies, coordinating with logistics teams, managing grower inventory, managing estimates and forecasts and making adjustments as necessary with internal and external teams. 

There are currently two openings for this role: 

  1. In--Person, based in Oxnard, CA with weekly travel to Santa Monica. 
  2. Remote, ideally located in New Jersey or Florida with frequent travel to Florida.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Support the sales team by managing order processing, coordinating shipments and ensuring accurate documentation
  • Input, track, and manage sales orders
  • Coordinate with customers, logistics, and internal teams to track orders, address inquiries, and resolve any delivery or inventory issues
  • Collaborate with growers, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely deliveries
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments, addressing any transportation or distribution challenges
  • Coordinate with growers and internal teams on inventory to track product availability and align supply and demand
  • Proactively identify and resolve supply issues to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Provide accurate sales estimates and forecasts while simultaneously updating projections
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain strong business relationships
  • Participate in industry events, tradeshows, and customer meetings to strengthen brand presence
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Provide coverage for sales department ensuring seamless communication and operations

Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relatable field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ sales experience in Agriculture industry, preferably mixed berries or fresh produce
  • Experience using Famous Software highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of pricing, supply chain, and logistics within the produce sector
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies
  • Strong Communication and relationship building skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross functional teams
  • Must have the ability to work flexible and of “off” hours, including weekends and holidays based on business needs and seasonal demand.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is $90,000- $120,000 annually. The actual salary offered will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, job-related knowledge and work location.
