Our headquarters in Valencia, California houses our Executive team and the majority of our employees in Sales Management, Marketing, Export Sales, Finance, IT, Transportation, Global Licensing, Legal, Administration, and Human Resources. Our fresh fruit domestic sales team is deployed in strategic locations throughout the United States and Canada to best serve our customers. Our Research and Technical Services team is headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, California with service technicians throughout California and Arizona.

The Varietal Coordinator is responsible for processing sales orders on a day-to-day basis by entering and confirming customer orders, shipments, claims, manifests etc. Responsible for order processing, mediating shipping point, and arrival issues, and coordinating transportation needs, where required, for assigned retail, wholesale, and/or food service customer accounts day-to-day business transactions. 

Essential Job Functions/ Duties:

  • Processes sales orders.
  • Creates, tracks, and completes “job” forms to repackage product at designated plants.
  • Creates purchase orders for product procurement. Maintains customer files.
  • Works with Purchase/Procurement order software and Excel MS Office suite.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by completing related tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications/Licenses, and Experience:

  • Ability to learn and understand produce market conditions.
  • Possesses skills at negotiation and is highly adept at using persuasion skills to sell product.
  • Possesses interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent’s and/or ratios.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented; work in a fast-paced environment with high ability to multitask.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work environments, management styles and business trends.
  • Ability to acquire and apply new knowledge or skills for work and recognize own strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential functions consistent with Sunkist standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to be able to: talk, listen, and speak effectively on the telephone; read, write, and understand written documents and policy; sit for sustained periods.
