POSITION SUMMARY: Performs various financial duties while managing the Accounting staff, to support financial reporting for the company, in accordance with GAAP standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
- Manage Accounting Department including staff of 3 consisting of Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist,
- Accounts Payable Clerk, and Inventory Mgmt Clerk.
- Shows effective leadership by ensuring the staff has the proper training of processes, time management, and are well organized.
- Participate in month end close and consolidation process, including cash reconciliations, analysis of accounts and monthly activity.
- Prepare journal entries and post to the General Ledger as appropriate…daily, bi-weekly, monthly, annually.
- Ensure monthly commission reports are prepared and presented timely, by the date stated in the contract.
- Review transactions and ensure adherence to GAAP.
- Recommend and implement business process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting packages for the company and trusts.
- Prepare recommendations for improving organizations accounting operations.
- Assist in the periodic budgeting/forecasting processes.
- Assist in annual CPA review and audit.
- Provide timely reports daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
- Assist in the preparation of governmental related returns and forms (Payroll tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax, Value Added Tax, etc.).
- Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments.
- Reconcile, correct and apply adjustments to billing records.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records.
- Assist and work with external accounting and banking personnel for annual review process.
- Daily cash reporting and timecard review and approval.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- 5+ years’ experience in Accounting and Management.
- Experience with International Accounting and Foreign Currency translation strongly desired.
- Prior experience with Epicor Accounting system is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and
- format. Ability to effectively present information.
- Bilingual English/Spanish desired, but not necessary.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
