A&A Organic Farms, Corp. is a Watsonville, CA based organic grower sales agent of organic fresh fruits and vegetables. We have an opening for an experienced Inside Produce Salesperson. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a customer base by meeting customer needs, building product demand, and developing new customers. This a full-time inside sales position at our Watsonville office.
We are seeking an individual with previous experience in a produce / agricultural sales office.
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced changing environment is a must. We have canine mascots who spend time with us in the office. Candidates should be comfortable working in an environment with dogs.
Responsibilities:
- Sell perishable produce inventory to new and existing wholesale clients.
- Develop repetitive customer purchase programs.
- Increase customer base by calling on new leads and potential customers.
- Process orders in office by scheduling trucking, tracking orders and follow up / coordinate
- paper flow with back-up personnel.
- Meet or exceed monthly gross sales quota.
- Provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service.
Requirements:
- MUST have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in produce/agricultural sales office.
- Proven inside sales
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in business or agriculture.
- Strong phone presence and experience making dozens of calls per day.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, as well as basic computer skills.
- The is a base pay with commission structured position.
- Office hours are Monday thru Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. *Occasional after-hour calls are necessary.
- This is an office job that requires many hours of desk work with extensive computer and phone use. Occasional stairs required.
