The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items, securing a warehouse, and supervising staff.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving and shipping, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
- Measures and reports the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Organizes and maintains inventory and storage areas.
- Ensures shipments and inventory transactions are accurate.
- Communicate job expectations and mentor subordinates.
- Maintains item records, documents necessary information, and utilizes reports to project warehouse status.
- Confers and coordinates activities with other departments.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages.
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
- Ability to move around a cold storage warehouse unassisted and the ability to stand for extended periods in a 34-40 degree refrigerated warehouse.
