Overview:
Ark Foods is seeking a Senior Account Executive to help manage and develop existing accounts. This role will report to our Chairman and will work closely with our company Senior Sales Director. The main focus will be to successfully transition ownership of long-standing, existing relationships with produce distributors and manage those relationships on an ongoing basis.
Key work streams will include:
- Manage an existing book of relationships under the guidance of our company chairman, including food service distributors, processors, etc.
- Identify new business opportunities, cross sells, and synergies within those existing relationships
- Provide an exemplary level of customer service, responsiveness and industry insights to our Key Accounts
- Put together and issue daily pricing sheets and participate in live negotiations, managing any subsequent customer feedback
- Work closely with our Operations and Sales teams to identify excess inventory and find the most opportunistic channels by which to move it through
- Maintain deep knowledge of produce industry market trends and pricing
- Employ a “company-first” approach to pricing and account development
You Have:
- At least 5 years of sales or account management experience (Produce or perishables preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully managing and growing accounts
- Mastery of unit economics and margins to support negotiations with buyers
- Understanding of supply/demand and market-based pricing programs (produce preferred)
- Top-notch organization and communication skills
- A belief that there is no task too small and no challenge too large
- An existing book of produce customers (Optional)
