Job Description:
Castle Valley Greens is seeking an energetic Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and outgoing individual with a strong ability to multitask. Knowledge of fresh produce sales and account management is essential, with a focus on leafy greens and vegetables. As part of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Objective:
Maximize sales of Castle Valley Greens’ products by managing existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. Collaborate with management to create and implement strategic sales plans that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Manage sales and account relationships with existing and new customers, focusing on meeting and exceeding established sales goals.
- Product Management: Oversee daily inventory, manage supply and demand, and optimize profitability by understanding market trends and pricing strategies.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a consultant to customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the sales team, targeting growth opportunities and expanding the customer base.
- Communication: Liaise with farm management and operations teams to ensure timely product movement and keep customers informed of market conditions.
- Trade Shows, Events and Farmers Markets: Represent Castle Valley Greens at industry trade shows, events and farmers markets, promoting the company’s products and values.
- Financial Management: Monitor and minimize financial losses related to account receivables, pricing adjustments, and other collection efforts.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as requested by senior management to support the overall success of the company.
Required Qualifications:
- Compensation will be determined based on relevant work experience and industry background.
- This position requires an on-site presence, with specifics determined by the COO/CEO.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and logistics within the fresh produce sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
