Job Summary:
The Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Safety Manager to help develop, implement and maintain the company’s safety and field food safety programs. Additional responsibilities include the coordination of employee training programs; maintaining and updating documentation of training records, and assisting in identifying and eliminating hazardous conditions within the company’s workplace.

The Role:
As a Safety Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive safety and food safety programs.
- Coordinating employee training programs and maintaining training records.
- Identifying and eliminating hazardous conditions in the workplace.
- Conducting investigations and maintaining documentation for accidents, injuries, and near-misses.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including Cal-OSHA and food safety standards.
- Providing new hire orientation and developing training materials.
- Maintaining hazard communication records.
- Conducting food safety inspections and taking corrective actions.
- Assisting with human resources duties as needed.
We're looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science, Business Administration, or a related field and Two to five years of experience in food or agricultural safety, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and food safety standards.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Training certifications in CPR/First Aid, pesticide training, and tractor/forklift training.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical demands.
