Regatta Tropicals is seeking a new hire for an entry-level sales position. Our company is a leading kiwifruit and persimmon supplier around the USA. We also handle other commodities including figs from our own ranch and other imported fruits for large US retailers. As a salesperson, you would be the primary liaison between our company and fruit wholesalers, retailers, and distributors in every major city. As a Food Safety Manager, you would direct the process of procuring and submitting certificates which show that our farmers are abiding by safe and acceptable standards. We will train.
As a small company, we help each other out during certain times of the year with other duties. We hope to find a positive and flexible person to join our team.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and basic internet functions
- Good English speaking and writing skills
- Organization, drive, and persistence
- Experience not necessary, but helpful if relevant
- Ability to work 7am – 4pm M-F
Typical daily sales duties would include:
- Speaking with customers about inventories and current market prices
- Processing Sales Orders (FOB or delivered)
- Developing business in new markets/with new customers
- Watching our own inventory for aging fruit
- Brainstorming potential promotions, ads, or untapped markets
Food Safety job duties include:
- Requesting documents/audits from our farmers – helping when necessary
- Filling out Food Safety paperwork for our customers
- Submitting certificates and ensuring compliance
