About the Role:
As a Sales Account Manager, you will play a key role in selling and sourcing high-quality produce while maintaining and growing relationships with customers and suppliers. Working closely with our procurement, sales, and transportation teams, you’ll help ensure a seamless experience for our clients while driving new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand your existing book of business while cultivating new customer relationships.
- Sell wholesale produce while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Work collaboratively with procurement and logistics teams to ensure product availability and quality.
- Provide daily availability and pricing updates to customers and internal teams.
- Analyze sales performance, budgets, and variances to drive business growth.
- Develop and implement promotional activities, weekly reports, and pricing strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key company personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in wholesale produce sales.
- Established relationships within the Northern California produce industry.
- A proven book of business in independent, wholesale, and foodservice sales.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivated attitude.
- Results-driven with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be flexible to work weekends and travel as needed.
- Bi-lingual is a plus!
- Must be in good standing with PACA.
