We are currently searching for a Food Safety Regulatory Compliance Coordinator in El Centro, CA and Yuma, AZ.
As the Food Safety Regulatory Compliance Coordinator you are responsible for creating food safety programs and ensuring that all programs are implemented and maintained. You are also responsible for conducting and scheduling food safety audits, along with keeping supervisors and employees up-to-date on safety standards.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Food Safety inspection.
- Effective problem solver with the ability to work independently.
- Ensure company compliance with formal product recovery and recall procedures.
- Experience in food safety, HACCP, GMP, USDA, FDA, and working with State and third-party inspection.
- Possess strong leadership skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to make sound decisions, capable of communicating and reporting functions both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, vendors and management.
- Requires relocation to El Centro, CA/Yuma, AZ area.
- Coordinate with management to establish controls and standards for food safety.
- Implement and maintain all food safety related programs and standards for all operations.
- Ensure that employees and managers have the required food safety training and are consistently working within food safety requirements.
- Ensure that operations comply with federal, state, local, and specific customer and company food safety policies and regulations.
- Prepare and submit all required reports and correspondence.
- Identify, document, and report suggested corrective action for continuous compliance and improvement.
- Inspect products and equipment for conformity to applicable regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and lead all third-party food safety audits.
- Report results of safety audits and submit recommendations for corrective action to management for approval, as appropriate.
- Educate and advise management, and train employees on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Harvesting Practices (GHP).
- Ensure GAP’s and GHP’s are always met.
- Prepare and coordinate annual food safety training specific for supervisors and employees.
- Audit and inspect all operations as required and whenever appropriate.
- Full participation during food safety audits.
- Performs all other duties and tasks, as assigned by management.
