Job Description:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the operations and ensure that shipping and inventory are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse inventory levels of produce and packaging daily
- Operate a forklift, maintain records, track inventory items and complete documents for shipping and receiving
- Responsible for reporting all unsafe conditions, damage to product, equipment and facility and other duties as assigned
- Recommend measures to improve production and repacking methods, quality of work, and working conditions to increase efficiencies
- Ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained in the facility at all times
- Loading trucks correctly
- Neatly and accurately load trailers with pallets of product
Requirements:
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time
- Night shift hours during the strawberry season (December-March)
- Day shift hours when off season
- Skills in using computer-based systems, programs and reports
- Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion
- Must be able to work safely with good safety habits
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
