Harvesting is the process of gathering crops from the fields. On smaller farms with minimal mechanization, harvesting is the most labor-intensive activity of the growing season.

As an individual in a harvesting role, duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting produce, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products. Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts and field crops.

Job titles in this profession may include: Senior Harvest Analyst, Farm Manager, Farm Crew Leader, Ranch manager, Harvest Crew Member, etc.
