The National Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with customers, presenting Field Fresh Farms’ product line, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction, while actively monitoring market trends and identifying new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand market penetration for the company's products.
A successful candidate will be a team player, natural relationship builder, professional, and be able to demonstrate previous sales success. This is an on-site position, and typical schedule would be in the office Monday through Friday 6:30am – 3:30pm. These hours can vary with some longer hours depending on market needs with additional hours on some Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Understand customer needs, present product offerings, and negotiate sales agreements.
- Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.

Sales Strategy Development:
- Analyze market data and trends to identify potential growth opportunities within the territory.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and market share objectives.

Product Promotion and Marketing:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop marketing materials and promotional programs to support sales initiatives.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and analysis to share key insights with management.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.

Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with internal teams including administration, sales, marketing, production and logistics to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Work and communicate in a personable and professional manner with high integrity and a dedicated work ethic.

- Ability to work independently at times and contribute to within a small, yet driven and successful team.
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced & time-sensitive environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ Years in Produce Sales
- Proven track record of success, and foster key relationships you currently own
- Strong understanding of foodservice and retail operations and customer dynamics
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field
- Proficiency in Famous and Microsoft Office 365 systems
- Ability to travel to customers and industry events as needed
- “Can do” attitude, natural curiosity, and internally motivated
