We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales-driven Produce (Fruit and Vegetable) Broker to lead and grow our domestic portfolio, especially in the Midwest and Western states.
This critical role is centered around expanding our network of growers and end-users and driving our mission forward through strategic partnerships and sales excellence. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the produce industry, a proven track record in produce sales, a deep understanding of growers and their part within the supply chain, and an established book of business that can immediately contribute to expanding our sales and distribution channels. This role is critical in ensuring we maintain our high standards for quality, price competitiveness, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for rapidly building a client base, leveraging existing relationships, and driving profitability through proactive sales strategies. Prior experience with the Feeding America system or food banks is a significant plus.

Salary: $90,000-$140,000
Responsibilities:
- Aggressively grow our revenue by identifying and securing new business opportunities.

- Represent Planet Harvest at industry events.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, specifically within the produce industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and generate significant revenue.
- Comprehensive understanding of the produce industry, including logistics, distribution, and the specific needs of growers and end-users.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with growers, farmers, and other stakeholders in the produce industry.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Customer service mentality.
- Ability to move quickly and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience selling into the Feeding America system or food banks is highly desirable.
