As our Purchasing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our procurement team and ensuring excellence across the board.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding and inspiring the procurement team to achieve exceptional results.
- Collaborating with Buyers, Sales, and Operations to foster seamless communication.
- Developing and implementing metrics to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Strategizing with the executive team to drive profit planning and innovation.
- Managing all procurement and supply chain operations, from onboarding new business to ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Analyzing market trends, ensuring accurate pricing, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Monitoring and improving critical metrics, such as spoilage rates, fill rates, and margin levels.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the overall success of Foster.
Who You Are:
- You are a motivated, collaborative leader who thrives in the dynamic world of food distribution. Your passion for people, products, and processes makes you an invaluable part of any team.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven expertise in product sourcing, forecasting, margin management, and supply chain leadership.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Strong experience in commodity contracting, volume commitments, and profitability strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and relevant technology tools.
- A creative, innovative approach to solving challenges and driving success.
- Outstanding organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- A genuine passion for people and a commitment to teamwork and community.
- 8–10 years of experience in food distribution or a related field.
