Job Description: 

LOCATION: NW Nevada Growing Region

Come be a part of our growing company where you can thrive and make an impact by representing Grimmway Farms to outside (contracted) growers and assists in procuring acres, carrot production, coordinating planting and harvesting. This position serves as a liaison between contracted growers and the Grimmway Sales, Production and Grower Accounting departments. Grimmway is one of the largest carrot and organic vegetable grower/packer/shipper in the world! We pride ourselves in bringing fresh, healthy, and safe product to communities as we invest in and care for the earth’s natural resources and our family of employees. Come grow with us!

What will set you apart:

  • Previous carrot growing experience.
  • Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and executing crop inputs including, but not limited to, planting, cultivation, fertilization, irrigation, harvesting and production.
  • Ability to forecast harvest estimates and quality.

Additional Info

What you will need:

  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff.
  • Good organization skills and be self-motivated.
  • Able to travel to all growing areas on a regular basis, as required.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
