JOB FILLED - Sales Account Manager

Job Description: 

Ayco Farms, headquartered in Pompano Beach, Florida, is a premier grower, importer, and shipper of a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables from multiple growing and shipping points throughout the world. 

 We’re seeking a Sales Account Manager to help us sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain working relationships with existing and new clients to ensure exceptional service and identify potential new sales opportunities.

  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all service and product categories offered.

  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations.

  • Travel to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and engage in industry events to build a network of contacts.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with all departments to expedite and resolve all aspects of sales, including shipping, pricing, accounting/billing, and marketing needs, in a timely manner.

  • Work effectively under pressure, remain calm in challenging situations, and make sound decisions to resolve issues.

  • Provide seasonal updates to customers on specific commodities to support customers in determining optimal promotional opportunities.

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in sales within the produce industry

  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities

  • Knowledge of Famous and Excel

  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services, including sales techniques and customer relationship management

  • Strong knowledge of the produce retail, wholesale, and foodservice markets, as well as industry trends, concepts, and standards
