As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Control Specialist and Assistant Operations Manager to join our team in South San Francisco, CA. The right candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations with a focus on inventory control.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Operations Manager by maintaining organized and structured warehouse operations. Assure that the warehouse is operating in a manner that enhances customer service, quality benchmarks, efficiency and safety.
  • Work with and support Quality Assurance Manager to ensure good production practices, order updates and communication with appropriate team member
  • Oversees receiving and inventory of produce and packaging materials
  • Prepares routine inventory reports to keep sales staff, operations manager and owners aware of inventory status
  • Maintain excellent facility organization and appearance: best practices for maintaining accuracy while setting an example for co-workers……always keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform cycle counting of physical inventory; research and locate missing inventory
  • Coordinates warehousing, packing and loading of produce orders
  • Checks-in drivers picking up product
  • Dispatch morning trucks
  • Inspect produce for quality and condition
  • Conduct regular product inspection in refrigerated warehouse space to ensure quality and proper rotation of products
  • Manage produce inventory and ensure that the right product in the right place at the right time
  • Manage packaging inventory
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed which may include warehousing, purchasing, receiving etc.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years previous produce experience in a focus on inventory control
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team efficiently and effectively
  • Focus should be on urgency in an active/time sensitive environment and take quick problem-solving actions. This includes attention to detail while multitasking and researching multiple issues
  • Communication skills with a strong verbal and written background.
  • Basic math skills along with strong skills in MS Office, Outlook, and Excel. This includes strong computer skills and detailed accurate data entry.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) required
