We are currently seeking to fill our VP of Produce position with a candidate who has 10 years plus of experience for our Jackson, MS location.
- Experience required – 10 years plus experience in related field.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage/lead senior and middle management team at 4 produce distribution centers, 2 in Mississippi, 1 in Alabama, and 1 in Northeast Florida.

Purchasing Responsibilities
- Strong background in FOB produce purchasing and grower/shipper relationships
- Team building
- Direct and mentor buyers at 4 company locations
- Forecasting and developing value for end user customers

Sales and Marketing
- Lead sales team and identify market/sales opportunities
- Grow sales and profitability

P&L
- Budget and growth forecasting
- Margin, EBITDA, CAPEX management
- Expense containment
- Scrutinize line item detail
- Goal setting and review with management making immediate corrections when target is not met

WMS Background
- Strong background required in WMS, PTI (Produce traceability initiative) food safety regulations and compliance
- Overall knowledge of all regulatory regulations such as Home Land Security, Allergens, HACCP, DOT, and auditing process and certifications end user customer requires of vendor partner
