We are seeking a Fall Creek Assistant Production Manager who will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and auditing all activities involved with plant production, growing, and shipping at a designated production site. This position also requires close collaboration with Propagation, Facilities, and Planning.
What you’ll do at Fall Creek:
- Oversees planting at one of the US production sites including: collecting and prepping production material, setting up production equipment, space planning, improving production efficiencies, and meeting and recording production targets.
- Plans and prioritizes all shipping functions for maximum efficiency including: labor planning, quality control adherence and reporting, and meeting shipping deadlines.
- Directs the growing of plants to company specification through proper irrigation, fertilization, cultural care, disease prevention, etc.
- Uses horticulture skills and knowledge to evaluate plant health factors and makes growing recommendations
- Develops and implements efficient labor plans based on current and future needs.
What you bring to Fall Creek:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in horticulture or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience Managing or supervising a production farm or horticultural operation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
