Job Description:
This position is responsible for collaborating with the Transportation Manager in the planning, directing and maintaining efficient transportation operations in a growing Food Service company. The right candidate will be responsible for the daily logistics within the Transportation Department.

Transportation Manager
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Coordinates multiple shipping sites through implementation of RoadNet to maximize efficiency of routes on a daily basis.
- Works to organize truck loads and routing schedules for increased efficiency and profitability.
- Develops and distributes pick tickets for order fulfillment.
- Coordinates selection and staging of product.
- Oversees loading of product onto trailers and trucks.
- Collaborates with Transportation Manager in scheduling of all Drivers.
- Collaborates with Customer Service and Sales Team to solve customer issues as they arise.
Skills:
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include Excel
- Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and be available after normal business hours to resolve problematic delivery
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Creative problem solver
Ideal Candidate:
- Spanish speaking skills a plus
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of RoadNet
- Knowledge of Produce Pro
- Minimum three years in Transportation / Logistics.
- Extensive knowledge of DOT regulations
- Spanish skills a plus
