Logistics Coordinator

Ayco Farms Inc. is a leading grower, importer, and marketer of a diverse range of fresh fruits and vegetables from multiple growing and shipping points around the world.

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the timely delivery of goods, maintain delivery schedules, and track deliveries to ensure timely arrivals. 

This role includes updating and providing tracking information to customers and internal managers, monitoring and reporting driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues, and analyzing delivery costs to recommend more cost-effective transportation methods.


Responsibilities:

• Negotiate transportation rates and services.

• Maintain relationships and contracts with carriers.

• Oversee the scheduling of shipments.

• Perform order entry procedures as needed.

• Coordinate logistics for production and repacking needs.

• Book, track, and ensure on-time delivery of goods.

• Ensure transit times and on-time deliveries are maintained.

• Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures for product transit and delivery.

• Collaborate with the Sales team to determine immediate and future trucking needs.

• Maintain relationships with various accounts to efficiently handle their respective needs.

• Maintain all transportation vendors’ insurance certificates.

 Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the produce industry is preferred.

• Direct experience with routing and load planning.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

• Excellent organizational and negotiating skills.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and solve problems.
