Job Description: 

We are seeking an experienced Citrus Sales Manager (Consultant) to lead and mentor our developing Sales team.

Our company is located in Southern California and we have been an  independent citrus packing house for over 100 years.

This is an independent contractor role (1099), however if successful, a full-time opportunity may emerge. On-site availability of around 15-20 hours per week would meet our needs.

Most sales work begins around 6:30 a.m. to serve our east coast customers, along with our local and global customers. Our office is open Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and will work well in a team environment. Further, this role will provide end-to-end account management over-site to our Citrus Sales operation. 

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Develop and implement Sales strategy.
  • Manage major accounts and oversee export sales activity.
  • Set pricing daily and ad pricing.
  • Access sales opportunities with existing sales team.
  • Work closely with packing house and key management.
  • Participate in management meetings and strategic planning.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in This Role:

  • A minimum of 15 years in citrus sales, marketing and management, along with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.  
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agribusiness or a related field is highly desirable. Proficiency using computer technology is essential.
  • Must possess excellent communication and customer service skills; a high standard of integrity; be able to attend to details; and possess a passion for the business.
