We are seeking a motivated Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our team on site in Norfolk, VA. This role is responsible for a range of fixed and flexible tasks that support DeCA’s marketing and sales initiatives across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Web Portal & Dashboard Maintenance:
- Manage the MPG web portal by uploading and overseeing signs, flyers, and sales floor marketing materials for customer access.
- Maintain user access across MPG’s customer base and coordinate new user credentials.
- Create and publish social media posts, recipes, and product information.
Point of Sale (POS) Material Distribution:
- Coordinate and ship POS marketing materials to MPG’s customers.
- Design and produce in-office POS materials, including signage and displays for special events, doorbusters, and holidays.
Flier Support:
- Assist with the creation of weekly marketing assets, including promotional sales flyers.
Fresh Cut Bouquet and Plant Program Support:
- Assist with signage creation, upload orders into Produce Pro, and maintain item setup and pricing.
Spot Deals – Writing & Communication:
- Create messaging for short-term offers and price reductions.
- Draft email communications for customer outreach.
- Develop PowerPoint presentations showcasing product offerings, retail pricing, and other customer materials.
Social Media Oversight:
- Oversee and grow MPG’s social media presence on Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Maintain regular activity on social media to engage customers and increase awareness.
EBS Pricing Backup & Support:
- Collaborate with DeCA Pricing teams to ensure UPC accuracy across product offerings.
- Stay updated on pricing for all catalog products.
Monthly Highlight Video Recaps:
- Create and deliver monthly slide shows recapping commissary events in the produce department.
Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with web content management and basic graphic design tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Produce Pro software and DeCA systems preferred.
- Retail Grocery / Fresh Produce Experience Preferred.
