Position: Sales and Business Development
Are you passionate about fresh produce, especially avocados? Do you thrive on building relationships, driving sales, and finding new opportunities in the retail and foodservice sectors? If so, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do:
- Expand Index Fresh’s retail and foodservice customer base across the U.S.
- Design, create, and implement programs that drive business growth.
- Manage customer price quotes, volume allocations, and market forecasting.
- Collaborate with the sales team on strategies and program planning.
- Track customer sales history and analyze purchasing trends.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with customers and represent Index Fresh at trade shows, conferences, and meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least five years of experience selling fresh produce, preferably avocados, to retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice clients.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- A solid understanding of distribution and a proven track record of increasing sales and establishing new accounts.
- The ability to work under time constraints and minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual-Spanish skills are a plus.
Work Environment & Travel:
- This is a remote, full-time position with flexible hours.
- Travel up to 25% of the time, mainly within the U.S., to attend industry events and meet with customers.
