JOB SUMMARY
This position is part of Mission Produce’s Sales and Marketing leadership team and will be involved in strategic decisions regarding brand management (B2B), public relations, corporate communications, category development, investor & trade relations, marketing programs, and budgets. This role is also responsible for business development in all channels and is expected to provide direction and support to the domestic and international marketing teams, ensuring the achievement of communications, marketing, and sales goals. The successful candidate will direct and set the strategic direction of the marketing function and will possess the leadership skills to take the organization to the next level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and maintains a communication plan that supports the organization’s objectives and vision.

Aligns and integrates the communications objectives of all departments within the organization, through partnership and planning.

Supervises news releases and the implementation of public relations programs.

Manages press conferences and press coverage at all company events.

Stays informed and updated on industry trends and leverages key relationships with organizations and industry leaders to grow the business.

Monitors and analyzes the performance of marketing programs to guide current and future strategies.

Conducts market research and monitors market trends to remain competitive and meet overall objectives.

Provides thoughtful leadership to the marketing and sales, with strong emphasis on sales growth and execution.

Collaborates with sales managers to implement new and modified programs and initiatives.

Acts as primary spokesperson and liaison for the company with media in all markets. Oversees marketing plans and budgets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years as a senior leader (Director / VP) in a high growth produce/food company.

The successful candidate will be a high impact, dynamic, and visionary branding leader, with a record of achieving results individually and in leading and directing the marketing team; as well as being an intelligent, strategic thinker with proven ability to achieve plans.

Seasoned management professional with business development, corporate strategy and marketing acumen. Prior senior-level management experience required.

Hands-on performer—willing and capable of building and sustaining business building strategies and to maintain industry leadership needed to ensure continued growth and profitability.

Excellent communication skills, with the capability of articulating the company’s ongoing strategic vision into sound operating business plans and processes.
