We are currently looking for an Electrical Instrumentation Technician in Gilroy, CA.
As the Electrical Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining all electronics, mechanical and related equipment and instruments used in the facility. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance, perform periodic inspections, testing, adjustments, calibrations and servicing activities necessary.
- Associate degree in Electronic Technology or formal training relating to E/I testing and repair.
- Five plus years of experience in manufacturing working in installing, maintaining, repairing, calibrating, and replacing electrical equipment and machinery.
- Possession of a valid drive license at the appropriate level including necessary special endorsements, as required by the State of California to perform the essential job functions of the position.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical and electronic testing techniques and procedures.
- Ability to use a variety of precision tools and diagnostic equipment; read, and interpret operation and maintenance instructions and manuals.

- Install, maintain, calibrate, repair and replace electronic and electrical equipment.
- Interpret and work from technical sketches, drawings, and diagrams for electrical and electronic equipment and machinery.
- Suggest improvement plans to optimize performance regarding installations & hardware.
- Perform functional tests to identify and correct system failures.
- Perform original design work required to implement analog and digital system modifications.
- Repair electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic test instruments.
- Safety tests to verify the proper operation of fire detectors, hazardous and gas detectors.
- Process alarm instrumentation, protective monitoring systems, and computerized control system.
- Performs electrical and mechanical controls, control wiring, instruments, meters and related test equipment associated with water supply, wastewater treatment and disposal.
- Identifies and corrects problems associated with electrical and mechanical equipment, machinery and instrumentation.
- Maintains a preventative maintenance program.
- Solders and replaces components, component wiring, indicator and wiring harnesses.
- Maintains written records, logs, and other documentation required for preventative maintenance activities of equipment, supply parts and related material.
- Coordinates equipment repairs and maintenance with operations staff for minimal disruptions to operations.
