JOB FILLED - Warehouse Manager

Get Fresh is a local distribution supplier of fresh produce and specialty foods. We have been servicing our customers for over 25 years!  We are looking for a Warehouse Receiving Manager that can provide direct leadership to our Warehouse Operations.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manages, directs, coordinates, schedules, and evaluates the Warehouse team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Implements coaching or mentoring partnerships as appropriate.
• Ensure all employees receive adequate equipment training and certification in order to create a safe work environment.
• Review, maintain, and manage department supplies.
• Prioritize and execute the Warehouse teams’ activities and staffing needs in order to guarantee the day-to-day agreed level of performance within the facility.
• Ensure that systems and procedures are in place and working properly at all times.
• Implement a continuous improvement process of the team and ensure that performance improves through involvement of all team members.
• Ensure that the relevant communication processes exist, in order to guarantee a good working climate, teamwork, and efficiency between departments.
• Acts as a leader and mentor to the warehouse teams while taking an overall leadership role within the Operations Department
• Responsible for creating and maintaining procedural documentation and work instructions.
• Communicate effectively to all department supervisors and at all levels of the organization 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Knowledgeable of PACA regulations pertaining to good arrival and inspection parameters.
• Strong negotiating & problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment & under pressure, meet deadlines & accomplish team objectives.
• Must be able to work flexible hours weekends, and holidays for 7 day/week, multi-shift operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations.  APICS CSCP certification desired. 
• 3-5 years of warehouse or distribution operations including, safety, inventory, control, warehouse layout and efficiencies, shipping/receiving processes, expense curtailment, and keen sense for customer satisfaction.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements.  The ability to operate industrial truck equipment.
• Outstanding leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid experience in MS Office
• Bi-lingual a plus
