We are in search of a Produce Quality Inspector to join Fruitservice USA and support our produce quality-checking operations. The Produce Quality Inspector role is a very important position in a critical segment of Fruitservice USA´s operations. Working in a fast-paced environment the Produce Quality Inspector must be organized and finish tasks in a timely manner, must work diligently to ensure that the fruit/vegetables are carefully inspected, and the detailed information is accurately recorded.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect fresh produce prior to being shipped out and periodically while in cold storage to ensure the quality of the product.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform accurate measurements.
  • Analyze test results and inspection data to identify any deviations or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
  • Follow established quality assurance procedures and protocols.
  • Coordinates and participates in product selection and repacking operations. Monitors the quality control inspections for these operations.
  • Build and maintain secure relationships with warehouse employees and managers.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related problems in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and procedures.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Understanding of QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Make appropriate decisions, work independently, and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
