The Agricultural Field Operations is responsible for evaluating, procuring, and ensuring agricultural products that meet company specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
- Determine availability and quality of agricultural product in fields.
- Forecast and report to the company on upcoming harvestable product, as well as ensure that harvested product meets the company’s specifications.
- Procure agricultural products for the company to market outside of its current grower base.
- Provide daily updates to sales and production departments
Other Responsibilities
- Travel as required per the company.
- Operate a company vehicle per company policies.
- Weekend work.
- Some computer work.
- Extensive phone calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Crop Science, Agriculture Engineering, or related field
- Qualifications
- Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with all personnel, peers, growers, and customers
- Multitasker
- Must be self-motivated
- Demonstrate ability to adopt/respond in an environment of constant change
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (bi-lingual a plus)
- Strong attention to detail
