We are currently looking for a Logistics/Maintenance Manager to join our team in Salinas, CA.
As the Logistics/Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of the organization, and managing daily operations of production and manufacturing. You will also develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 plus years’ experience in produce operations
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
- Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to achieve organizational goals
- Excellent time management skills with strong ability to lead, plan, and manage change and culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong relationship building and management skills
- Must be able to travel up to 35% of the time
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction
- Receives requests for service, evaluate types of work or assistance needed, establish workforce priorities and dispatch appropriate personnel to achieve proper response
- Account for the scheduled work and maintain knowledge of the status and location of the personnel
- Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately
- Ensure materials are ready and available for production, when needed
- Develop or update project plans for information technology projects, including project objectives, technologies, systems and information specifications
- Identify, review or select vendors to meet project needs
- Develop and manage annual budgets for information technology projects
- Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Assist with daily execution of mechanics, purchasing, logistics and interface with related departments to provide the most efficient and effective daily execution possible while being mindful of cost.
- Assist in developing and reviewing existing metrics to gage performance of departments. Most issues will be partially or wholly related to a dept that is not logistics, maintenance, and purchasing
- Assist with technology (radios, phones, fuel system, GPS tracking equipment) to ensure employees and equipment have needed items to execute and be tracked successfully
- Assist with personnel and organizational issues
- Re-evaluate and implement processes to continuously improve practices
