The Warehouse Operations Manager receives and stores product by designing and developing product movement and storage systems; improving operations; managing staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements standard warehouse operations processes for receiving, storing, picking, kitting, and shipping.
  • Achieves warehouse operations performance indicators such as, Perfect Order, On-Time Delivery, Dock-to-Stock, and Inventory cycle count accuracy.
  • Develops optimal warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems to drive operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implements changes.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.
  • Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, coordinates security patrols.
  • Accomplishes warehouse operations objectives by selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures; and promoting corporate values.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Liaison with vendors and general contractors to receive feedback on warehouse operations performance and ensure both internal/external Customer Satisfaction.
  • Liaison and oversee third party warehouse operations to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Develops standard reporting for volumetrics (Ins/Outs), dead inventories, quarantined inventories, etc.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in warehouse operations management.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Produce industry preferred.
  • Excellent managerial and training skills.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational & problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, & Power Point).
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing performance indicators.
