B & R Farms has grown and processed the very special Blenheim apricots on their ranch in Hollister, California since 1929. The business is still family owned and operated business with 3rd generation Jim Rossi and his wife Mari and son Brian. You will also see their other sons, Philip and Scott helping on the farm.
THE BLENHEIM APRICOT
Frank Bozzo chose San Benito County for planting their orchards because of the ideal conditions available - its rich soil, cool mornings and warm afternoons. Located 45 minutes from the Monterey Bay, the coastal breezes cool the area well, especially during hot summer days.
While the trees are tended and the business is open year round, the harvest occurs mid summer where 100+ acres of Blenheim apricots makes this farm buzzing with daily activity!
The products B & R Farms offer are made from the dried Blenheim apricots, which produces a much more intense apricot flavor.
