Pearson Foods Corporation was founded in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1977 by the still-active CEO, David Pearson. For Mr. Pearson, it was a seed that sprouted into a company, where his enterprise began as a two-person team hydroponically growing bean sprouts in a warehouse basement and delivering them to a handful of local accounts in a station-wagon. Fast forward 30 years and Pearson Foods has diversified into a Midwest grower, processor and distributor of value-added fruits and vegetables. The Company operates a state-of-the-art facility with an in-house quality assurance laboratory and holds a prominent reputation for quality, customer service and foods safety.
