Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with our customer and support them with executing their business plan and initiatives.
- Facilitate purchasing decisions to ensure a 100% on-time delivery rate of the best quality products at a competitive cost.
- Monitor and maintain contract fulfillment on a weekly basis.
- Work with our customer and vendors to create special buying opportunities, which will generate additional sales and profits at the retail level.
- Work on continuous quality improvement while visiting suppliers and growers in the field.
- Responsible for coordinating several Quality Control team members in different growing areas.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must possess strong analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Deal strongly but fairly with high integrity in all transactions.
- Always represent our company and customer professionally.
- Fresh produce procurement experience.
- In-depth knowledge of produce commodities, market pricing, quality standards, vendor management, and PACA regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
