Job Description:

This is a Merchandising position responsible for purchasing fresh commodity Food Service products. This individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. Responsibilities:

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to work independently to determine and apply appropriate policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for maintianing demand planning forecasting exceptions
Responsible for creating vendor purchase orders
Identifies and orders “fill-in” products as needed
Responsible for buying activities within the DPR system
Maintains acceptable in stock position and inventory levels designated by Director
Provides support for vendor returns along with managing aging, slow, and excess inventory

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

Minimum education level: High School Diploma.
2 years experience in Fresh Commodity Food Service Purchasing.
Desirable level of education: Associate’s Degree
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
