Sales Executive

Job Description: 
Sun Pacific began in 1969 with the purchase of 72 acres of oranges in Exeter, California. Today we
move over 35 million boxes of fresh fruit from our farm land in the San Joaquin Valley. We are currently seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join our team in Pasadena, California. If you have previous experience and a proven record in produce sales, we'd like to hear from you.
 
The Sales Executive will have direct-line accountability to the Sales Director and a dotted-line relationship with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is primarily responsible to oversee and manage the sales component of the organization’s commodities.  In this job, the individual is required to coordinate various sales aspects such as sales visits and presentations, order fulfillment and oversight, replenishment, customer communication, product knowledge, arrival issues and rejections, account maintenance, packing, shipping and receiving of goods.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Communicate daily with customers regarding current and future market conditions.
  • Build relationships that foster sales to customers.
  • Troubleshoot any customer rejection, transportation, and/or arrival issues.
  • Conduct weekly review of established sales goals for the season and adjust as dictated by crop and market conditions.
  • Work with Customer Development Manager and Marketing Director to develop value-added sales proposal and present during customer visits.
  • Perform other tasks as dictated by the needs of the business.
Education: 
  • Bachelor’s or an associate degree, preferred.
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent from a certified school, required.

  • Must possess the drive and skill sets that “close the deal”, e.g. engaging personality, tenacity, appropriately assertive, detail oriented, and personable.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in citrus or produce sales desired.
  • Ability to efficiently communicate with Retail and Wholesale customers.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of operating a PC; specifically word processing and spreadsheet applications.
