Rice Fruit Company is looking for a talented and motivated Sales Representative to join one of the East Coast’s leading marketers of fresh packaged apples and stone fruit.
This is a diverse, fast paced, and complex business that relies on strong customer relationships and excellent customer service to sell our fruit year after year.
The Sales Representative position is responsible for enhancing relationships with current customers and building new customer relationships.
Therefore, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills in multiple media including email, phone, and face-to-face, feel comfortable initiating conversations, enjoy networking at industry conventions, and excel at servicing retail, national and worldwide customers.
- Experience in sales and/or knowledge of the fresh produce industry
- Exceptional communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work after hours – particularly during August-November (this includes Saturdays)
- Minimum of 3 years work experience
- Able to learn new computer software
- Works well both independently and in team settings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional attitude
- Highly organized
- Reliable and conscientious
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Interest and experience in marketing/package design a plus
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
