We’re looking for a passionate sales professional with a strong work ethic and drive to join our sales team and contribute to our growing organization.

The successful candidate will provide a high level of sales, service, and product knowledge to our customers. They will also help expand our tomato sales by identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts, as well as maximizing gross margins. They will work with our sales team in developing a successful sales and marketing plan for tomatoes and oversee it implementation.

Fresh produce is a fast-moving and complex environment, so the best candidates will have experience in the industry with the ability to make smart, quick decisions and deliver stellar service to our customers.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, goal driven, and truly passionate salesperson who enjoys working with produce and the entire sales process from start to finish. They will have the ability to analyze complex and changing market factors, evaluate alternative sales practices, and recommend or implement effective courses of action.

Requirements: 
  • Produce experience is a must, ideally in tomatoes
  • A minimum of three years of sales experience within a perishable industry is critical
  • High-energy and passionate about accomplishing sales goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a high-stress, multi-task environment
  • Possess logical problem solving skills, analysis and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines
  • Exhibit strong degree of professionalism and ability to plan own schedule, set priorities and meet deadlines
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Achieve budgeted sales volume objectives, market penetration, average sales price by product and ultimately, contribute to company profitability
  • Provide input as to relevant market information, strategies, visions and goals
  • Grow distribution and placement in both new and existing accounts
  • Develop and communicate strategies to grow market share and customer base
  • Manage budgets to ensure effectiveness and meet area targets
  • Work collaboratively to ensure optimal customer service and support
  • Identify and analyze local market dynamics and pursue new opportunities
