Job Description: 

We are a team of dedicated professionals who love what we do! We are currently searching for a Western Region Manager who can work remotely in the Western U.S.

As the Western Region Manager your main responsibility will be to develop, build and manage accounts. You will be responsible for creating and delivering account strategies.  These strategies will include growth targets, targeted grower returns, customer KPI’s and relationship building. You will also be responsible for the management of retail customer with in the region, as well as the primary contact with the customer, under the guidance of the VP Sales & Operations.

Love Beets has been defying preconceived notions of boring beets (the kind your grandmother would serve) with an upbeat, fun, modern brand and tasty products that will attract beet lovers and beet newbies alike.

Love Beets began in the UK 20 years ago and came to the US in 2010. Today, Love Beets is the leading value-added fresh beet shipper and processor in North America.

A new state of the art facility is being built in Rochester, NY, and due to open January 16, 2016. The new facility is creating jobs with the potential to create even more jobs over the next five years. Our new US facility will support our direction to source only U.S. grown beets.

Requirements: 
  • Sales & Business Development experience
  • Developed negotiation & persuading skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages with an aptitude for learning additional packages as required
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Highly numerate
  • Good time management
  • Good at building relationships a “people person”
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Supporting the VP of Sales & Operations to ensure the day-to-day management of the designated region including:
    • Pricing
    • Service levels
    • Brokers
    • Merchandisers
    • Customer KPI monitoring and delivery
    • Identifying growth opportunities
    • To deliver budgeted Sales (Value & Volume) and Margin
  • Complete price negotiations within agreed parameters and in line with budgets, plans and margin targets
  • Key point of contact for customer visits. Ensure all customer contact is documented and disseminated
  • Creation of short, medium and long-term sales and marketing plans for customer key accounts and produce 3 year sales plans as required
  • New product development, identify opportunities in conjunction with the VP Sales & Operation
  • Analyze market conditions relating to product developments to ensure the company is able to take full advantage, thus meeting the changing needs of our customers and establishing a competitive advantage for Love Beets
  • Working with VP Sales & Operations and other personnel across a number of functions (internal & external) to deliver specific projects and initiatives as described in your objectives
  • During projects, you will co-ordinate all aspects from start to finish including delivery.  Keeping the relevant parties up to date at all times.
