We service the finest produce distributors as well as specialty retailers from our warehouses in Los Angeles and Miami, where we receive top-quality produce from a network of local, national, regional and international farms.

We are currently searching for a Produce Sales Account Specialist in Los Angeles, CA.

As the Produce Sales Account Specialist your responsibility is to build long-lasting, loyal client relationships, while endorsing and cross-selling new products to our existing and potential customers. You will have the knowledge of and/or experience in produce coming into the position of the Produce Sales Account Specialist. Possessing a measurable familiarity with asparagus and herbs is a definitive plus.

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years previous in Sales or as a Sales Coordinator
  • Exceptional attention to detail required and to be extremely organized
  • EXCEL skills is a plus
  • Famous software knowledge is a plus 
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Manage and solve conflicts with clients
  • Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other staff members
  • Participate in establish budgets
  • Meet time deadlines for assigned accounts
  • Completes proactive customer “good will” calls
  • Meet and/or exceed assigned quarterly and annual sales and retention goals
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop business cases, presentations and proposals
  • Demonstrate positive Company positioning

The ideal candidate will be adept at both communicating and navigating customer needs and working collaboratively with the sales team. The Produce Sales Account Specialist should thrive on selling a product and building relationships with the customer, while engaging with vendors and growers for a successful sales cohesion.

  • Sense of urgency applicable to perishable product
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong phone and in-person presentation skills
  • Expertise in follow-up
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment
  • Proven sales and/or account management success
  • Revenue responsibility and experience
  • Diverse Produce Industry knowledge desired
  • Highly motivated, enterprising team player with a “get it done” attitude
  • Mobile apps knowledge/ experience a plus
  • Generate sales for a portfolio of accounts and reach the company's sales target
  • Knowledge of appropriate produce trading practices
