We are looking for a successful manager with potato operations experience to help us continue to grow our programs and operate our cutting edge facility focused on organic potato packing. 

As the Potato Operations Manager you will oversee a large, year-round potato packing and cold storage facility. You will also work closely with our Sales, Accounting, and Human Resources departments to ensure the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all facility operations including production, storage strategy, maintenance and overall facility management.

Requirements: 
  • Extensive knowledge of potato storage and packing operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • P&L experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement strategies and a track record leading a team in efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Ensure that all mechanical refrigeration and electrical systems are functioning properly for production and storage operations.
  • Promptly report all malfunctions requiring maintenance to the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor on duty.
  • Record all production data by field name and number as required.
  • Schedule production personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate all personnel issues, including payroll status changes, with the Human Resources Department.  Ensure the training, supervision, and performance of all production personnel.
  • All disciplinary actions must be documented and periodically reviewed with the General Manager.
  • Ensure that adequate employee safety training, including “job specific”, is performed on a regular basis, and that all such training is documented.
