Job Description: 

Get Fresh Sales ensures the availability of the highest quality fruits and vegetables at all times to Nevada's most discriminating restaurateurs, and provides the highest level of food safety at all times. We inventory and distribute a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables and currently stock over 1500 line items in various pack sizes to meet your needs. Our experience and volume allows us to work closely with the growers on the direct purchasing programs, and allows us to eliminate brokers and terminal produce markets.

The VP of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for the creation and execution of the overarching sales strategy by market channel and product area, annual sales plan and budget, new business targets and strategy, analysis of customer and commodity profitability, product development, high level customer relationships and contracts, guidance of inside and outside teams, trends in markets and channels, competitive position, brand strategy, and company image and marketing.

You will partner with the management team to ensure the best possible service, and provide effective communication to and from customers with the Get Fresh Companies buying and operations staff.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Develops long-range marketing plan and annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Manages, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the Sales and Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Analyzes effectiveness of marketing activities and makes improvements where necessary.
  • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
  • Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives, and meets organizational expenditure requirements.
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
  • Conducts market research to determine feasibility and marketability of new products or features.
  • Oversees marketing budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
  • Conducts problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Reviews ongoing performance results and identifies needs of employees. Implements coaching or mentoring partnerships as appropriate.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity and continued improvement.
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out sales strategies.
  • Communicates clearly with employees concerning performance expectations, productivity and accountability.
  • Suggests methods to improve area operations, processes, efficiency and service to both internal and external customers.
  • Organizes design and development of Sales Department.
  • Articulates and demonstrates Company Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Represents Sales and Marketing Department on Senior Leadership Team by attending and actively participating in meetings and projects.
Qualifications: 
  • 10-15 years experience in a Marketing/Sales VP or Director capacity.
  • Proven track record and related job experiences within the produce industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Business and Marketing or related field is preferred. 
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer software programs as needed.
