Job Description: 

Dos Gringos is a rapidly growing contract grower/shipper of fresh cut flowers within an industry abounding with opportunity and potential.  We are the largest ornamental sunflower company in the world.

We are looking for a self-starting, high achiever to join our team as a Business Development Manager.  This person is goal oriented, cares about people, loves to ask questions and builds mutually beneficial relationships with customers.  This position is located at our Miami facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Our goal and responsibility is to match our customer needs with our production possibilities.

  • One of your primary responsibilities as a Dos Gringos Business Development Manager is to understand our customers and their needs. Without a true understanding and solid connection with our customers, we cannot match our production possibilities to their needs.
  • Equally important is your presentation of existing programs or creating new programs to help customers achieve their goals.

We want to make new friends as well as new business partners.

  • Our products and programs give us the opportunity to make the world a better place.  Flowers make people happy and we have flowers.  We need partners to help our flowers reach the length and the breadth of our marketing geography.
  • Dos Gringos’ Business Development Manager spends part of each day searching for and identifying potential new trading partners.
  • New trading partners fit a very distinct profile.

  • Have the desire to work on partnering and planning

Job Expectations:

  • Sell floral products and floral programs in high volume to large grocery chains
  • Work with customers and our creative design expert to create weekly floral programs for our customers
  • Call on and manage accounts that total in excess of $2.0MM of annual sales
  • Work with our production team to ensure that sales/production communication is optimum
  • Attend trade shows and make presentations to floral buyers
  • Represent Dos Gringos as a consummate sales professional

Skill Sets/Experience:

  • At least 3 years retail sales experience; Key Account Level Selling -floral industry a plus
  • The ability to create, foster and develop rapport and relationships over the phone and in person
  • Hands on problem solving and project management background
  • Possesses a competitive nature with a high tolerance for stress
  • Works well within a very tight knit, team environment
  • Enjoys handling several tasks at a time in an organized manner
  • Proficient in the tools of Microsoft Office
  • Willing to travel (How much travel?) Travel 25% of the time…
