Job Description: 

The Global Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue via our domestic and export sales.

This role will also be responsible for the sales strategy and execution within North America and export markets, including developing targeted new retail accounts and mass merchants. In addition to business development, the GSM will work in coordination with the FOB sales team in servicing, analyzing, developing and managing key strategic accounts, including wholesalers servicing specific retail, club and food service accounts.

This role will eventually build and manage and external sales force. The Global Sales Manager position is part of the Senior Management Team and will report directly to the President.

Requirements: 
  • + 7 years experience in a Fresh Produce Sales Role.
  • A full understanding of Supply Chain Networks across North America and beyond.
  • A full understanding of Fresh Produce markets within North America and beyond.
  • Well connected in the US/International retail sectors
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with tasks without supervision.
  • Experience in understanding wholesale in produce.
  • Ability to handle and resolve problems and disputes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Looking for an upbeat, go getter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to use computer and CRM systems(Salesforce).
  • College degree or equivalent of 7 years produce experience.

Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Create a culture of success with ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Develops annual sales volume and profit targets. Create the sales plans innovative marketing and promotional activity to increase product awareness and drive category sales with each customer.
  • Provide expertise to the Company by building, developing and managing a sales team capable of carrying out the Company strategies and tactics.
  • Understand in depth the dynamics of domestic and export sales and where threats and opportunities may lie while incorporating these in to the business plan.
  • Implement a plan to target new customers and review the Customer Lifetime Value-each customer will be evaluated to assure highest value customers are maintained and replacing the lowest value customer. 
  • Know and understand the markets in Taiwan, Singapore, China, etc.
  • Hire and develop sales staff.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships.
  • Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and passion for managing projects in a timely manner.
